Bill Murray is hands down the preeminent comic genius of our time. One of the many brilliant results from his collaboration with Harold Ramis is Groundhog Day. The premise is original and funny, and the character is played to perfection. The true despair and misery of Phil Conner and the growth that he shows stands with the hilarity of the movie to make this one of the top ten movies of all time. When most movies that attempt to mix comedy and love end up like some trite piece of Drew Barrymore garbage, this movie stands the test of time.
