The Sunshine Empire

Today in Singapore marks the hopeful end to the saga of Sunshine Empire Singapore. I’ve discussed it many times before but hopefully this will be the final time. I named this Florida based blog in 2006 purely unaware of any other organization sharing that name. I named the blog The Sunshine Empire. I found through the surprising amount of traffic I received from the far east that my blog shared a name with a multi-level-marketing company in Singapore named simply, Sunshine Empire. There is no connection whatsoever between my blog site about American and Floridian politics and the ponzi scheme run by James Phang Wah, Neo Kuon Huay, and Jackie Hoo Choon Cheat. Today the three were sentenced in Singaporean court for defrauding investors of close to $180 million over 15 months.

I feel for anyone who has lost money to this horrible scheme, but my site is unrelated in any way to this group. But if you enjoy commentary regarding sports, politics and entertainment in American then please feel free to stay a while. Our Empire is free.
