What’s Really Wrong With Me

I used to be a super awesome guy. Loved by many and always the fun guy at the party. Old age is taking its toll on my sensibilities, and I think I’ve pinpointed the perfect example of what’s wrong with me. Quite simply I am severely bothered by people that go out of their way to stop their cars to let you cross the street. Aside from letting a car merge into traffic when the road is highly congested, or letting someone cross from a turn lane, I’m bothered to a point I find disturbing. Walking through suburban office parks during the day, invariably I will find myself approaching a road crossing. There is not a car on the road save for one that is approaching. It would take two seconds to stop and let the car pass, then cross the road. That car will always come to a screeching stop to allow me to pass. This is not a courtesy, this is you feeling self important and wanting to feel like you did me a favor. Just drive by and don’t make this part of your 12 step program or community service. This is what is wrong with me. This pretty much sums up why I’ve become antisocial. That’s my rant for the day.

  1. Wow, you may want to limit your trips to Portland then.
