Footballtown TSE: City Revenge Week In The NFL
Watching the highlights for this sports weekend’s NFL action I was struck by a quirk in the scheduling and I wonder if it wasn’t done on purpose. Three franchises that had moved to new cities were playing road games in those cities against the NFL teams that replaced them. I understand that with only 32 teams that can happen, but to schedule them all on the same weekend seems more than coincidental. Consider that the Colts, Cardinals, and Titans left Baltimore, St. Louis and Houston respectively. Yet yesterday the Indianapolis Colts played the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore, the Arizona Cardinals played the St. Louis Rams in St. Louis, and the Tennessee Titans will play the Houston Texans in Houston. You would think the NFL and the networks would have advertised it as city revenge week or something.
