Goodbye Sarah Palin, Sorry We Hurt Your Feelings

Well sadly, yesterday marked the last day in office for Alaska’s longest serving partial one term Governor Sarah Palin. For those who thought her initial resignation speech the day before Independence day was frenetic and bizarre, I submit to you yesterday’s final speech and say it has been topped. The former Governor seemed like a spurned cheerleader who didn’t make the team, if that cheerleader was Richard Nixon. It seems the most quoted line was the admonition to the media to “stop making things up.” Uh, like what Governor? I would ask Sarah Palin which particular newspaper or publication had made stuff up about her but she would probably reply, “well all of them.” Always the Queen of the victim class when it comes to Sarah Palin. The other crazy tidbit was when she said that new Governor Parnell had a lovely family and that we should stay away from them. Well couple of differences there Ex-Governor Palin. Governor Parnell has yet to run for Vice President of the United States and pushed her family on all of us as the paragon of virtue. I’m sure when Governor Parnell goes on national television and preaches about abstinence and then has a teen have a kid out of wedlock, we’ll worry about that then. But when and if this supposedly tough as nails wild bear of a woman is ready to play with the big boys and not get her feelings hurt every time someone doesn’t drool all over her when it comes to the bloodsport of politics, then I’ll start paying attention again.

  1. That’s a misquote there, the lady said “makin’ things up.” You must be one of the bloggers she was talkin’ about. You and those editing types at VF:

  2. Also, why does she care if the press is birthtarded? I thought she would have embraced that movement.
