Biggus Chat Room: On Recounts And Retards

Biggus: I’d like someone to undertake a study of if and why recounts always seem to favor the Democratic candidate. Maybe it just seems that way and breaks more evenly on the whole, but it seems like every recent recount has increased the vote total of the Democrat.
me: It sure helped Gore
Biggus: He gained votes.
Or gained more than Bush.
Both sides obviously gain to some extent, but at a greater rate on the Democratic side.
me: it’s probably the liberal media
Biggus: Assuming I’m not just taking a small sample size and blowing it out of proportion.
me: You’re fixating on the Franken case but the latest gains by Franken were attributable to a request from the Coleman campaign
Biggus: Actually there was another recount where the Democratic total increased at a greater rate in a New York House district.
me: I think the Coleman internal polling tells them more than they give on
Biggus: That’s what made me think of it.
me: I know the Tedisco race in Kirsten Gillibrand’s old seat
but the Franken thing sticks in your craw
Biggus: I wasn’t really thinking of it specifically.

I just find the apparent trend curious.

me: I haven’t really followed the NY race. The district is a Republican heavy district that’s all I know

Biggus: It was on the corner. The Dem’s lead is up to 246 (I think it said) now. My theory on this, by the way, is not some sort of conspiracy (at least in most cases) but the fact that there are more completely retarded people voting at the bottom end of the Democratic bell curve than the Republican. They also have more of the smartest. Republicans draw more from the middle ground.
me: Regular joes vs. retards and elitists?
Biggus: If want to oversimplify what I was saying.
I would say more in terms of 10%/80%/10% low/middle/high for Democrats and maybe 6%/88/6% Republicans.
Just my theory.
