Meghan Takes The High Road And Laura Ingraham Joins The Anorexia Caucus
I will not lie, Meghan McCain is smoking hot. She is not some blond Muppet and she has an opinion. She is a Republican there is no doubt and she and I do not agree politically. That being said I do like her so much for her moxy in taking on the Republican establishment in a way that if her father had he might be President. I used to like Senator McCain as I have discussed many times in this space. If he had not dropped out in the 2000 Florida Republican Presidential primary I would have voted for him (yes I was a Republican in my former life). But sadly the Senator regressed into some kind of proto-Bush and I got lost in the mesmerizing rhetoric of some charismatic African gentleman. Yet now his daughter Meghan (I guess the H thing makes you a Republican because my dear friend and Sacramento Pacific conference host Meghan is a conservative and my dear sister Megan is one of the three registered Democrats in all of St. Johns County Florida) is speaking about the boogie men and women of the conservative movement and is making sense. I may not agree with the Republican party, but Ms. McCain is speaking about what is really wrong with the party, despite her youth and inexperience. I added McCain’s Daily Beast column to our blogroll yesterday, but what made me want to post this rant was reading of how Republican blond Anorexia caucus member Laura Ingraham ranted that Meghan would not be on the Real World television program because they don’t like plus sized models in response to her reasoned but arguable view of the problems with the Republican party’s youth outreach. Great dumb cheerleader move; you can’t win an argument so criticize someone’s weight.
