Tuesday Notes On Nothing

After the 2000 election the use of the “red” and “blue” states became the vogue thing that stuck around. That was not as bad as the remnants of campaign 2008 that have stuck around despite not being wanted. Joe the Plumber keeps popping up like an unwanted enlargement spam email, and the Minnesota senate race is still not over. Like the Daily Show pointed out, Norm Coleman stated that Al Franken should forgo the eventual recount so that Minnesota could begin the healing process and get representation. Now that is not as important. But Sarah Palin is still around despite living on the Russian border and I don’t know how to feel about that. She’s the perfect foil for Democrats and is a ridiculous character, but she’d be good for business. As in the comedy and politics of the opposition business.

I hope the good people of Illinois have the sense to vote Roland Burris out when 2010 comes along. I almost wouldn’t mind Alan Keyes instead of him.
