Trust The Sunshine Empire
With all the states now decided we can pretty much evaluate our predictions from Sunday. Of our 50 predictions state by state we only got two wrong. On North Carolina I said, “but I think in the end it moves by inches into the McCain column.” I was right at least about the inches. On Indiana again I thought it would be inches, but that does not win a state in the prediction game. I also predicted a 57-43 Senate, assuming Lieberman was kicked out of the Democratic caucus. Well, it does not look good for Al Franken in Minnesota nor in Joe Lieberman keeping his chairmanship of the Homeland Security Committee in the Senate. The people of Alaska have proved to be nothing more than a state of professional wrestling fans and UFO conspiracy theorists by reelecting a CONVICTED FELON WHO WILL BE KICKED OUT OF THE SENATE. All this is to say that my prediction of a 57-43 Senate is almost right on the dot. I win.
