On When To Believe Terrorists, And When It’s Opposite Day
I have to say that anything regarding al-Qaeda is not funny, but it is richly ironic the latest message from the wretched terrorist group says that they actually want John McCain to win. Whether the terrorist group that gave us the horror of September 11th is in favor of one American Presidential candidate or another should be of no consequence for anyone above the level of those believing professional wrestling is real. Yet the country has been riddled with billboards and bumper stickers like this gem found on a GOP leaning website.

(Good thing for your candidate who says they are nothing like Bush, but to use the same script and flag pattern from the Bush/Cheney 04 logo)
The big problem is, al-Qaeda has said that they are hoping for a McCain victory. The Washington Post is reporting that al-Qaeda related blogs are speaking of their approval of the candidacy of John McCain. I don’t write this because it should have any bearing on who any American should vote for, but more so for the rank 180 degree turn this has caused in traditional Republican sentiment. When Osama bin Ladin spoke just prior to the 2004 election, Republicans from far and wide declared this was a shadow endorsement of Senator John Kerry’s candidacy for President. Now that al-Qaeda has spoken and directly endorsed John McCain for President, the McCain campaign now assures us that the terrorist group practices double-speak and really means the opposite of what they publicly say. Which means if you carry the logic out, al-Qaeda wanted George W. Bush to win in 2004. I guess he really isn’t Bush after all.
