The Sunshine Empire

This election is very telling about the collective intelligence of the American people. Since the Republican National Convention, the McCain campaign has begun to openly lie about it’s Vice Presidential candidate. After the “bridge to nowhere” and “selling the plane on eBay” stump speech points have been found to be demonstrably false and out right lies, Governor Hotness continues to use them. They have also turned into fourth grade school girls in getting their feelings hurt about Obama supposedly calling Mrs. Palin a pig, which he most certainly did not. Even conservatives have begun to call the McCain campaign on the outright sleaziness of their actions. When Bill O’Reilly is defending Senator Obama you know you are out in left field. In addition to the outright lies about Governor Hotness, her actions involving her ex-brother in law are disturbing. The McCain campaign has taken their ball and gone home to mommy in not allowing her to speak to the media, which is unprecedented for a VP nominee. They know that there is no creative way around the fact that her mooseburger biography is as full of holes as a strainer.
The clear political reality is the Obama campaign is not handling her well. She is more George W. Bush than even the current occupant of the White House, and that is why the zealot wing of the party is finally coming around to the candidate they never really ever trusted. I’ve read that they plan for a forceful comeback punch after the 9/11 commemorations today. If they don’t Obama could become the next Thomas Dewey.
