The Sunshine Empire

One of the most remarkable things about the Republican National Convention was the complete re-branding from “Experience Counts” to “We’re reforming change agents.” Many conservatives have rebutted the lack of experience of Governor Hotness with the supposed lack of experience in Senator Obama. That tact really amounts to a game of Presidential chicken, but that’s beside the point, and it will probably work with some of the electorate. They will also pivot effortlessly into becoming politically correct feminists now that they have a female on their ticket. The response to this obvious contradiction amounts to “well, you guys got to be absurd about female things, and now it’s our turn.”
