Sarah Palin Takes The RNC Stage
The most interesting thing about Sarah Palin’s speech so far is that she has dispensed with the personal biography and right into a stump speech about McCain. Her mention of her son being deployed to Iraq is her personal reference like 6 minutes in. I still can’t get over her Frances McDormand Fargo accent. But overall she is doing a wonderful job. As I heard Ben Stein say this afternoon, she has such low expectations that she just needs to do bare minimum and will be looked at as a success.
Nice reference to dedication to special needs kids. The clear political implication is the call to Hillary Clinton voters. Interesting also that she mentioned her husband being a proud union guy, at the RNC.
She’s gone heavy into her family, but she is still not talking about her government experience, or her governing ideas. She seems to be saying that she’s from a small town so she is better and untainted. So far if she was running for Ms. Ladies Home Journal I would probably vote for her, but I’ve heard no discussion of her and the Vice Presidency.
Enough with the bullshit about looking down on small towns thing. Small towns are great but I don’t want the Mayor of Waldo running the free world. They are really leaning on the “Bitter and cling to guns” thing tonight.
Oh, apparently the media is at fault again at the RNC. Why did they even grant the media credentials if it is so evil. Cut them off and only have Fox there.
She does give the vibe sometime of a mother lecturing you though.
She again makes the outright lie that she turned down the “Bridge to nowhere.”
Looking at the NRO live blogging they are actually masturbating with glee over the speech.
It’s a good read meat speech for conservatives, but childish and preachy.
If you were to listen to Governor Palin, a Democrat had been President for the last 8 years.

Not for nothing, but in terms of actual experience as an executive level politician mayor does trump community organizer as a starting point.
