TSE Election Central: Pivoting From Obamamania To Governor Hotness
Thick political news is happening all across the fruited plain today as John McCain has apparently picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate in the fall election. Now as much as conservatives attacked Barack Obama’s pick of Joe Biden as his running mate because they said it undercut his message as a change agent, this pick by McCain undercuts his mojo issue of experience. Our operative tells us that the Fox & Friends crew were laughing at the fact that, as they saw it, Palin had more experience than Barack Obama. Now I think all clear headed politicos know that two years as Governor of one of the smallest states in the union is more experience than four years in the United States Senate. But the pick does counter the youth of the Obama ticket and counterbalances the age issues McCain has. It does assure some history regardless. Either the first black in the Executive branch or the first woman. This is another ploy by the McCain campaign toward the Clinton people.
It also brings to the forefront the last two states that entered the Union. With Obama having been born in Hawaii and Palin the Governor of Alaska, someone from outside the lower 48 will be in the White House in some capacity.
