A TSE World Politics Update
We wanted to take a brief moment away from the U.S. Presidential race to comment on the political turmoil in Thailand. I know we have readers in Thailand and it was commendable when they and the military rose up and ousted the corrupt former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Sadly the replacement PM was nothing more than a puppet for Shinawatra and rightly the people in Thailand have risen up again to fight injustice. The current administration in my country often talks about fostering Democracy, but the street protests and strikes across Thailand against Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej is real Democracy in action. Hopefully Mr. Samak steps down and Mr. Thaksin’s influence in the government can be purged.
