On When Being Rich Is Bad And When It Is Good
One thing that I have heard and read during the DNC from conservatives is that it seems to be a doom and gloom convention when people talk about the state of the nation. When Democrats state that John McCain is elitist and out of touch because his wife is rich and he can’t remember the amount of houses he owns, the tired POW bat comes out to beat people over the head. Yet in 2004 is was perfectly permissible to claim that the Democratic nominee was an elitist because he had a rich wife. Yet when it comes to the state of the nation, over 80 percent of the public feels that the country is on the wrong track. Democrats understand that there are real problems facing the country. Republicans seem to retort that nobody should speak bad about mommy no matter how bad off mommy is. Keep up the tired bits about some obscure hippy in with the wrong crowd and see how many people are ignorant of history in the country.
