Fay Comes Our Way

The coming march of eventual hurricane Fay has the Jacksonville metropolitan area in the full grip of hurricane hysteria. Better that than complacency, but the storm currently 194 miles SSE of our headquarters is already having an effect. The local stations are steadily creeping toward 24 hour a day coverage of the coming storm, and local gas stations are swamped. I had to go to the grocery store considering having been on the west coast for four days, and it was not busy until I was ready to check out, but that’s no different than any day. We’ve got all our devices charging and we’ll have video of the storm when the power comes back on. Tomorrow should be relatively quiet until the evening. That is about the time that the southern edge of The Sunshine Empire will be hit by Fay’s landfall. I hope I can get to the liquor store by then. I’m thinking Hurricane Malt Liquor.
