57 States And A Lack Of Humor
Much has been made recently about the series of senior moments that John McCain seems to be having on the campaign trail about seemingly easy matters. He recently made mention of the Iraq/Pakistan border, which Jon Stewart pointed out is the entire nation of Iran, and he’s taking political heat for stating that the so called Anbar Awakening occurred after the surge began. It in fact did not, but facts have a well known liberal bias as Stephen Colbert says. Now one counter argument I heard from a McCain supporter really stretched reality. The only counter to these mistakes that run counter to the supposed McCain advantage on foreign affairs is to say that Barack Obama once claimed to have been to 57 states. Now if one has ever seen the quote the Senator was making light of the incredible length of the Democratic primary campaign. Now his joke went over this man’s head, but McCain’s joke about rape was filled with the perfect amount of nuance for the right.

And let’s not forget that according to McCain, Iraq is “the first major conflict since 9/11.”
McCain: Bad Candidate. Obama: Bad Candidate. And not just because neither agrees with me.
