Well, seems they’ve said just that.

One thing to keep in mind.  The improving situation in Iraq is a wonderful thing, but it does not make the war any more right.   There is a feeling in the political world that if Iraq improves, then that does not bode well for the electoral prospects for Congressional Democrats and Senator Obama in the fall.  Why is that?  An overwhelming percentage of Americans think that the war was a mistake.  So they cleaned up the horrible mess that was unnecessary and badly managed.  How does six years, a trillion dollars wasted, and over 4000 dead and nothing to show for it reflect well on you at the ballot box?   Thank God conditions are improving, but that does not make all those lies become the truth.
