Sunshine Empire Favorites At The Open Championship
Monitoring the leaderboard at Royal Birkdale for the 137th Open Championship it seems that two favorites with roots in The Sunshine Empire are in the top five. Duval native and mysterious head case David Duval, himself a former British Open champion has come out of the wilderness to find himself tied for fourth after 36 holes. Also, young hotshot and former star University of Florida golfer Camilo Villegas is coming in at third. Sunshine Empire resident Jim Furyk is also tied for fourth. It seems that the post Tiger era of major championships is going well so far. Our only disappointment is not seeing Players Champion Sergio Garcia further up the leaderboard.
The weekend should make The Open fun to watch.
