Michelle X vs. Less-Than-Zero McCain
I’m starting to feel that the same person that calls sports radio talk shows, is the same guy who gets in bitter battles with people on comment boards. I separate this from the standard sort of person that comments with a retort to the written piece, and even a well reasoned reply to another commenter. But if you are referring to another commenter in your comment than you need a friend.
I was reading a story earlier about the building feud between Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain. Mrs. McCain seems to paint a picture that works for those that think that Mrs. Obama is a Manchurian Malcolm X Foxy Cleopatra communist. Michelle Obama never discusses Cindy McCain having stolen prescription medication from a children’s foundation she was the head of. The interesting thing about the First Lady cat fight is that many Republicans have been saying that some should back off Mrs. Obama. Finding Mike Huckabee and Laura Bush on the Obama side should be telling what the GOP base thinks of Senator McCain. Politically some are concerned that this could backfire on the McCain campaign. I can tell you I have not voted exclusively for a candidate based on their marital choice since I voted for Bob Dole in 1996. If Libby was fucking him at his age she must be dedicated to her country.
This country has certainly changed over the last 8 years. Deeply held beliefs are now but fantasy, and fantasy has become fact. It is clear for all but those who just are simply grossly ignorant of the facts, that this country’s highest leadership officially began torture as the policy of the U.S. government, and it’s time the argument be clarified. You can believe that senior members of the Bush administration are war criminals plain and simple, or you feel that torture is acceptable. The President himself set a clear example when after 9/11 he asked if you were with us or against us. It’s black and white in George W. Bush’s America and we can just simply stop attempting to say at all that our government is not torturing people. Never forget as well that after saying that torture was wrong, and constantly reminding the American voting public that he was tortured during Vietnam, Senator McCain voted against a bill which would have outlawed torture. He simply has no moral authority to speak on the matter at all. Democrats like Jay Rockefeller should share his shame, after having knowledge of many of the violations of the law that have occurred during this time and having done nothing. His feigned indignation now is just bullshit.
