Tiger Woods Walks The Walk
I am a huge sports fan, but I absolutely loathe most sports broadcasting. Most Sports pundits rarely if every predict anything brave beyond stating that last years champion will win again this year, and most play by play men are steeped in hysterics trying to be the next Johnny Most or Myron Cope. When broadcasters rant on and on about how what we are seeing on the broadcast is legendary, the product on the field rarely measures up. Yet last night after having dinner with my father and grandfather, I watched Tiger Woods paint the same picture that the over-creative broadcasters were verbalizing.
Watching Tiger on the last four holes more resembled a video game with the long puts and hole-outs, but the drama for once was real and palpable. Every shot brought a look of excruciating pain from Tiger, but he stormed to the lead and repeated the dramatic last hole heroics tonight. Tiger succeeded in playing hurt like a linebacker, and forcing overtime tomorrow.
