SCOTUS Sides With The Constitution

The Supreme Court has ruled 5-4 that a terrorism suspect can challenge his detention in civilian court and that the writ of Habeas Corpus can only be removed as the Constitution of The United States explicitly states it can, during rebellion and invasion. Now we feel that this is a just decision because it affirms our laws and rules are a beacon for the world. The world is a better place and justice is better served when the rules are followed.

The rules should be followed. Now I am no fan of any of the people locked up in Guantanamo and am not some terrorist sympathizer, but if the evidence proves that they are guilty of crimes against the United States the justice will prevail. There is no need to slant the playing field and trash the time honored traditions of this great country. This is a win for democracy against terrorism. This decision also proves right those that say Justice Anthony Kennedy is the new swing vote, much like Sandra Day O’Conner was in the previous court.
