Fox News Producer Thought Fox Was Conservative

I have often railed against the rank hypocrisy of the Fox News “Fair and Balanced” bullshit.  I have often also said that I would have no issue with the network if they identified themselves as what they are, fully politically conservative and consistently Republican.  But that’s what surprised me about this news item.

Fox News Assistant Fired For Red Carpet Disclosure

On several occasions Sean Hannity would come back from commercial during the 2004 Presidential campaign with a countdown of days until the election, but he would say something to the effect of, “Just 24 days until George W. Bush is reelected President of the United States.  He also in effect endorsed Rudy Guiliani during this year’s Presidential primary.  Why is he not looking for a new television job and this poor woman is?  I may agree that she should not be saying such things in her role as a journalist, but to hide behind Hannity being a pundit is splitting hairs.  This woman probably has grounds for a wrongful termination suit.  I hope she gets more money than Andrea Mackris.

A reporter is not a pundit. A news show is not an opinion show. That seems pretty obvious.
