RE: What’s Done Is Done
After watching the Frontline piece Bush’s War, I’m struck by how much Rumsfeld might be misconceived. The whole small footprint and stay-in-the-bases routine was actually meant to ease withdrawal. The PBS documentary makes him seem like he wanted out all along. Now it’s not a great strategy to employ in the middle of a low-grade civil war, but I at least never understood that he wanted out. What an asshole though.
