Bush, FISA, and the lack of accountability

In 2000, then Governor Bush’s campaign plane was dubbed, “Accountability One.” Sadly he has made every effort to help anyone avoid any accountability. George “Slam Dunk” Tenent and Viceroy L. Paul Bremer both received medals after presiding over the worst foreign policy actions in American history. When Bush breaks the law, his surrogates state that he really didn’t break it because it really doesn’t apply to him. Yet those same people look at a blow job from an intern as impeachable because the law is the law. Now in Congress a law that would give AT&T and Verizon immunity from punishment for having helped Bush violate the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution is close to passing. Republicans refuse to allow the telecom immunity to be debated as a separate bill, and would prefer to fear monger.  Glen Greenwald has an incredable article that sums up everything you need to know about it and the obfuscation from the so called liberal media. Where’s the accountability?

The WSJ editorial page lies about our surveillance laws.
