Super Bowl Sunday in America
For many Americans, the Fourth of July is the national celebration of our country. Yet there is no other day that represents America more than Super Bowl Sunday. Super Bowl Sunday is centered around professional football. Our version is one that is played now where other than North America, but this spectacle is broadcast around the world for some reason. The Super Bowl has everything that makes America the place it is. There are rockets and bombs and big fucking air planes everywhere. There are half naked ladies and rock stars, covered in glitter and purple light. We gorge on food in ways that would make Caligula blush. There is media and advertising so pervasive you will have it coming out of your ass by the fourth quarter. And the next morning the hilarious discussion of the commercials on your requisite morning zoo crew drive time radio continue the fun into the next day’s hangover.
We may have no reservation in telling you that we are the best at everything, but we intrinsically all love the underdog. The little guy David and Goliath stories. This year is no different. While the Patriots where looking like a lock to become the second undefeated team in league history, along came the wildcard Giants and Tom Coughlin. We all have a special place in our sports heart for Tom Coughlin. He guided our Jacksonville Jaguars to the 1996 AFC Championship game in the franchise’s second season. He also led them to the 1999 Conference title game as well. We are all happy for him, even if we have to hold our nose and be happy for a New York sports team.

Cole me down on the panny sty Tom Stanley. He knows what’s up, I’ve been subscribed to TSE for years. As for the Super Bowl, Tom Petty got the conversion. A lot of people met the band. Sunshine Empire, you’re a baddy daddy lamatai tabby chai, in a good way.
Wow dude. You got props from THE Tom Stanley.

I can’t really express the level of joy I felt when Burress caught that touchdown pass. I’ve never actively rooted for a team I don’t care about outside of college ball. I guess I didn’t realize how deep my hatred ran for this oft-fellated Pats team. I actually leaped from my chair when Manning pulled his Houdini-like escape and Tyree made that ridiculous catch.
