The Sunshine Empire

With John Edwards now out of the race it seems that both the Obama and Clinton campaigns are out in full force for his endorsement and delegates.  For all of my feelings of knowing where this race was going three months ago, and even three weeks ago, I am just consistently wrong.  For all of the inevitability of Mayor 9/11 some time ago I would never have imagined him gone without winning a single state.  The Republican race was the one that looked headed to a brokered convention three weeks ago, and now it seems McCain has the nomination all but sewed up.  I still will wait until February 5th to believe it though.  The Democratic race is completely undecided even after Clinton’s beauty contest win in the sunshine state.  But that leads back to Edwards.

Although it is a felony to offer a cabinet post for political support, an offer of the Attorney General post will certainly come from both campaigns.  If not that, then the next open Supreme Court Justice opening will certainly be insinuated.  But I would love to see it come down to a match up of Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama playing Rock, Paper, Scissors for all of his delegates.
