Waterboarding, and how it’s probably Bill Clinton’s fault.

I’m a bit puzzled. My government will not discuss whether or not “waterboarding” is torture. They state that they will not discuss waterboarding because to discuss any technique would be to bring it into the public realm. To bring it into the public realm is to let on the terrorists, and therefore they can train to resist this technique and it will cease to be useful. They state they cannot definitively tell you what torture is, but they can tell you definitively that they don’t torture, whatever that may or may not be. Waterboarding has become as discussed as the sexuality of any particular year’s American Idol winner. Why all the fourth grade courting obscurity? By your own definition the practice is useless anyway. The fucking Israelis consider it torture, and I would torture my neighbor’s pool cleaner if I thought it would help me avoid a bomb if I lived in Israel. We even went as far as to prosecute Japanese officials for waterboarding their prisoners during World War II.

The facts are streaming in that the White House directly authorized torture. Whether you feel that it is horrible or right, it is a simple matter of breaking federal law. If you believe in torture why do you not come out in favor of codifying it into Federal law? You do not have a bigger dick just because you favor putting electrodes on a brown person’s one.

This whole thing makes me just want to scream every time some person talks of a possible second Clinton Presidency and states that it would just regurgitate the miserable scandals of the ’90′s. Keep one thing is mind, William Jefferson Clinton may have lied to a grand jury about a blow job, but that pales in comparison to violating the Geneva conventions, Fourth Amendment, and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. All of those are big boy crimes, and they always do it bigger in Texas.
