Twilight Empire: Late Edition

As I sit hear late in the evening verging on morning, high above a frigid New Switzerland Plantation, I ponder.  I ponder on the twisted and dangerous world in which we all live in.  We’re almost within a month of the beginning of voting in the presidential election.  The closer to November we get, the higher the juice runs in the political world.

Tim Tebow seems set to win the Heisman, if you believe the eastern establishment liberal press.  I’m now further convinced that New England will go undefeated this year in the NFL as well.

Popular culture just seems to drift ever more deeply into the abyss of mediocrity here in America as we slouch forward to 2008.  With the television writers strike we have been without precious entertainment for so long, and we cannot bear it any longer.  To break our spirit the networks have unleashed a torrent of vicious reality programing on us to retard our strength and makes us servile.  I have either of two reactions when I see a television commercial.  I either want to meet the maker and compliment him on a timeless classic, or stab him in the neck.
