George W. Bush is a liar, liar liar pants on fire

There are some among the American public that still believe that the Iraq war and the resulting debacle are nothing more than everyone in the international community “getting it wrong.”  Despite the quite sizable opposition to the invasion both at home and abroad, staunch conservatives still continue the line of logic that since William Jefferson Clinton and his wife seemed to be for the invasion of Iraq then everyone was.  They continue to chafe at the idea that the Bush administration lied to the American public to drive it into a war that was not in any way shape or form in it’s national interest.  Even people whom I hold in the highest of esteem still carry this fanciful notion.  The 31 percenters insist that history will bear out that Bush was really far sighted and will be proved right.

Yet today we have the news that despite having the knowledge for almost a year that Iran had halted it’s nuclear weapons program since 2003, the Bush administration has been beating the drums of war with Iran insisting that it has been doggedly pursuing a bomb up until November of this year.  Administration officials, whom stated Iraq was an imminent threat and then two years later claimed they did not, have not been parsing their words when it comes to the Islamic Republic.  The country, which is not lead by any sane people lets not be confused, has been made out to be actively building a weapon, and intending to use it.  What everyone outside of the Heritage Foundation has known is actually the truth, and the Bush Administration has been caught in a bold faced lie again to everyone aside from Fox New’s core audience.  For a man who claimed (and for the record I believed him at the time) he would bring honor and decency back to the White House, he has been caught in more lies than Bill Clinton could have with 14 blow jobs.  Only George W. Bush could make Bubba Clinton look like George Washington when it came to truthfulness.

Now even today those who still latch on to the worst presidential administration in the history of the republic have some kind of explanation.  On MSNBC tonight a republican strategist was saying that even though Bush was lying, it proved the value of the Iraq abortion because the time frame of the Iranians giving up their program was the same as the invasion.  Never mind Bush was using the same scare tactics of mushroom clouds just in October to say that Iran was an imminent threat.  Republicans are fond of saying that Democrats use “scare tactics.”  They are right.  Democrats say that if you vote Republican, seniors will lose their Medicare.  Republicans say if you vote for Democrats you will die.  Who is scaring who?
