The Sunshine Empire

Just a few notes from the Democratic debate in Las Vegas tonight.  I really thought Joe Biden did a wonderful job.  He gave nuance and direction.  Dennis came off like a grumpy little man, and with his wife he has nothing to be grumpy about.  Chris Dodd, who I would love to like, came off as vapid and speaking nothing but Washingtonease.  I thought Hillary did not better or worse than the rest of them.  Obama stumbled verbally in some of the answers he gave, but in such a way that someone does when they actually speak and are not spouting memorized catch phrases.  John Edwards answered a great question directed as his comment on Hillary flip-flopping on some issues, and then bringing up several instance of him doing the same thing.  He answered it well.  Bill Richardson actually did alright, considering how badly he had done.  I really like Bill Richardson.  Overall I think they where even.  Yet when you have 10,000 of these things they all seem to run together.
