On Impatient Democrats, Lewis Carroll, and the first rising vibes of Vista

The week has brought the general feeling of listlessness and freedom.  Things are progressing at an almost alarming rate.  But enough about my emotional state.

I read today that Speaker Pelosi has set a date for yet another Iraq War withdrawal date, which win or lose it will be just for the President to veto such a measure.  Then the Democratic base blames the Democrats of all people for the actions of the Imperial President.  This posturing ignores the large animal in the corner of the room.  The only way that the war will be ended before the election of a Democratic President is cutting off funding for the war effort.  From their election in 2006 until the present the Democrats have done nothing but stage many loud pronouncements about how much the disapprove of the war, while walking to the floor of the House to vote for another billion dollar, and off the official Federal Budget Iraq war supplemental.

It is our position that the Democrats will only gain in the Senate in this coming election cycle, no matter who the eventual President is.  There is also a very real possibility of a third party candidate on the level of Ross Perot.  Yet if this is going to actually happen it has to occur soon.  Else it will be more of the same this coming November.

Mike Huckabee is on the rise in the Republican ranks due to his muted success in tapping the evangelical vote.  Also he’s running against an actual Ken doll and a gay loving, cross dressing, gun control liberal from

New York City.  I have a better chance of being the nominee than them and I left the party five years ago.  The Democrats have no person that is coming on in such a way, and that is what makes the race so boring.  Edwards is stuck in the mud and good men like Bill Richardson are drowned out by all the Hillary-mania.  The press continues to exhibit the abject absurdity of dementia.  Our good friends over at The Thoughts of Biggus Rickus Blog feel that the media is on a far liberal bent, and I have to disagree.  I’m starting to think they are not even human.

We should have a replacement for the mothership by the weekend.  Then the real fun begins.  Every screen shot I’ve seen of

Vista looks like what Lewis Carroll might have thought

Vista should look like.  That terrifies me.
