Pardon our dust during our technological failure
I had been saying some week or so ago that I had never had a catastrophic failure of my computer system ever. That was then and this is now. The mothership of The Sunshine Empire went down on Sunday morning and we are now operating on a second hand lappy, but we are still in contact. We did have a horrible weekend. The Gators went down to Biggus Rickus’s Georgia Bulldogs, and he was oh so gracious about it. I’m not watching the next one with him. There is a good reason that I only venture into the State of Georgia on a dare, or to slip into another state. The Jags made it through in a gutty effort in Tampa Bay, and it being the home of my favorite hockey team I found myself watching the pucks tonight.
I had an interesting conversation about Meet the Press with TSE’s Chief political advisor, and he was discussing a break with the Pelosi and Clinton wings of the Democratic party causing an opening for the Republican candidate in 2008. It was during this conversation that my belief that Rudy will be the GOP standard bearer in the general election caused a bet between the two of us. I guess he thinks the Mormon Ken doll is going to be who they go with. It is an interesting dichotomy, the split between the evangelicals and realists in the Republican party.
I’ll have to continue this later, but we’ll be up in running soon. We have plenty of computers around our New Switzerland Plantation location.

Ouch. The same boat the jolemite staff was in. Be thankful though, I got the news from the compy hospital that my lappy was dead on my birthday. Rock over London.
SO sorry about the meltdown. I really know what it’s like, and it is NOT fun.
My bet is on the mormon ken doll. He’s got the cash, and the cash is what sells it. Mitt is my personal worst nightmare, but I think Rudy has made too many enemies on the far right. But mormons are wacky, so I could be overestimating the money vs. mormon thing.
I think Barack can kick the ass of anyone on the Republican side, so I’m just hoping people get their intelligences lined up in time for the Democratic caucuses/primaries.
I was perfectly nice about the Gator defeat. I even turned it off after Georgia went up 42-30. What the fuck do you want from me?
