On the differences in focus.
Many people among the nattering talking heads say that Fox has a conservative bias, and that CNN has a leftward lean. While I feel that Fox is a Republican mouthpiece that is this far from taking it over the line, CNN has only the center-left feelings that 70% of the American public hold. But the difference in a news channel and an opinion page on television are clear on a night like this. As I was driving home I put on the satellite radio feed from CNN. I find the voice of living Ken doll Anderson Cooper reporting live on the horrendous conditions of the fires in the second largest region of the country. I flip over to Fox news and they have their Godfather Bill O’Reilly talking about the same subject matter about some crazy mother who bit her son, that that bat shit loon Nancy Grace is talking about on Headline News. Fox has the most ratings all right, the same people that watched Walter Cronkite when he was in his 30’s. You can always rely on some kind of mobile buggy commercial and a Medic-Alert tag advertisement in between Bill and Sean Hannity. Hannity a man who is a ratty t-shirt and a coffee enima away from being Michael Weiner Savage. (we always like to refer to public figures by their actual names and not the bullshit stage names, Carlos Mencia = Ned, Michael Savage = Michael Weiner, Fred Thompson = Freddie Dalton Thompson)
