The Sunshine Empire

Those of you who do not see the same dusty scrip from 2003 is being dusted off by all this Iran-o-hysteria are the same ones who probably thing George W. Bush is going to be vindicated by history.  Just like Herbert Hoover eventually won us all over.  I’m still waiting for the army of bi-planes that will cross the Atlantic and kill millions with the mountains of weapons that we knew just where they where.  Hillary shows how spineless she is with the bullshit Iran vote and conservatives seemed to have had yet another grave threat over the horizon.  Fareed Zakaria has a great piece in Newsweek that turns all of the Iran-must-be-bombed hysteria into shreds.  His best point is in pointing out that the same conservatives who said nothing would come from the last Iranian president’s reform movement because all the real power is held by the mullahs, now tell us that the crazy fucker who’s president now could kill us at any moment.  It makes no sense.  The only reasoning is because they know that Bush’s presidency is coming to a close, and the next president certainly wont bomb them, so the clock is ticking.  Seems like I’ve heard that same clock ticking before.
