I was close to a bit of a vacation. I’ve found myself surrounded though, by a virtual leper colony so I have succumbed to some dreaded bug and am under the weather. Although in sense doesn’t weather always happen above us? I’ve just kept myself occupied by playing golf on the Wii.  I will say though that Ahmadinejad did prove to be an insane little man today by claiming that Iran does not have gay people. No wonder the Iranians are so dour, they lack an entertainment class. Without any Jews or gays where would we get our movies and television?

Leave it to Chuck Hagel to tell it like it is. Look forward to little thwarted plots as the Presidential race rolls on. 6 Mexicans with a rifle will drive too near an Army-Navy surplus and they’ll become the “Chino Six” on Fox News. The Politics of terror only progressively gets more and more bizarre. The Head of National Intelligence lies to Congress, and admits that he lied to Congress, and nothing happens. Moveon.org runs an ad accusing General David Petraeus of being political they are condemned on the Senate floor. Let’s just forget that he wrote and op-ed in the Washington Post basically endorsing G-Dub’s reelection. Also, Senate Democrats bent over and did what the Republicans told them to do just the like the old days.

A friend pointed out to me and scolded me for my line from the last post insinuating that Texans where illiterate. Of course they are not. There have been many brilliant and innovative Texans like Bill Hicks, Ann Richards, Molly Ivans, Ross Perot and many more. I guess I carry an issue with Texas because they have become the California of our time. Every damn chicken sandwich and Applebees combo meal needs to be Texas something. “Arbys presents their Super Texas rough-house chipotle whole cow sandwich.” I’ll get over it. I can carry grudges against entire states for childish reasons. I hate the entire State of Tennessee on purely sporting grounds. But that’s the great thing about sports. It brings you together, over a great conflict. I need more Nyquil.
