On passion, football, and religion in the south
In the American South, and in The Sunshine Empire, college football is a religion. We are drawn to our cathedrals and temples and all experience a joined passion for students playing the American version of football. For those who read this blog from outside the American south, and our friends in Singapore, Malaysia and Sweden, I give you the following story that really encapsulates what southern college football means to us. Although they almost completely leave out the reigning National Collegiate Football Champion University of Florida Fighting Gators, it says everything that is beautiful as well as I could.
