Karl Rove and the primaries on the verge of College Football
CQpolitics.com is reporting that Karl Rove is really to blame for the primary chaos that is engulfing us here in 2007. A gentleman from Wyoming County says he spiked the discussion of it in 2000 because he did not want a floor fight at the convention. Then it should be federally mandated that both parties discuss it at their conventions this coming summer in 2008. Many including the person in the CQpolitics article have offered the idea of a rotating group of four groups of states that would have scattered dates for primaries. If some kind of change is not put in place soon for the 2012 Presidential election the primaries could start occurring as soon as January 2009 at the pace we are at. The powers that be fall maddeningly into the future and nobody seems to care.
I was pleasantly surprised that the liberal blogs seem to be discussing an apparent fundraising scandal among Democratic Presidential candidates and the infighting between John Edwards pit bull wife and the rest of the field. This is a far cry from conservative Fox News which did their best to try to forget another pious God fearing Republican was found to be a pole smoker.
College Football is here and the football season will begin today. Since I attended the University of Florida and live just an hour and 30 minutes from The Swamp, they’ll be some heavy talk on the state of the game and the nation. Everyone seems convinced that Southern Cal is the team to beat, and if Kirk Herbstreit says it’s true, well then it must be gospel. If you play the Playstation 3 NCAA Football, you’ll grow to hate him and that senile old man Corso. I guess that means summer is officially over.
