Ding Dong Gonzo’s Gone

With the retirement of Alberto Gonzalez as Attorney General of the United States, many on the left are rejoicing like a shirtless readneck in front of a dead dear with Old Milwaukee spilling on themselves.  He’s leaving for other reasons, if he wanted to keep that job he would have.  He could have had a tea party in front of the Senate Judiciary Commitee’s panel and ignored every question and nothing would have happened to him.  The source of his leaving no matter what is said by any party, I feel primarily comes from White House Cheif of Staff Joshua Bolton’s order that if you are a part of this Administration, you are either leaving, or staying until the very end.  Nobody aside from the President himself and maybe Janet Reno, stay for the entire eight years.  But remember, there was a large group of heads that lay down on pillows most evenings and dreamed of John Ashcroft leaving, and we ended up with Alberto.  Now Michael Chertoff is the odds on favorite and I have so say he looks like an aliean from a ’40’s science fiction B movie.  I’ve said enough.
