The Sunshine Empire Top Ten Albums: #5 The Jimi Hendrix Experience Live at Winterland

Jimi Hendrix was a man that was never appreciated in America until he had made a name for himself in Great Britain. Live At Winterland, has fantastic intermissions with Jimi speaking to the crowd, and a fantastic instrumental version of The Cream’s Sunshine Of Your Love after announcing that Cream was breaking up. His discussion before Tax Free is wonderful. This album has all of the great Hendrix hits, but he seems to play with reckless abandon during this concert and that makes the performance masterful. If you are curious about Jimi, this is the album to have. I received this album as a birthday gift twice on the same day. This clip is another example of their instrumental Sunshine Of Your Love.

Biggus taped a gun behind that toilet to kill the turk. Seriously he digs The Stones with his #5 Selection.

Jolemite’s#5 Pick  was honestly almost on this list.

  1. And let’s not forget Wayne Flowers driving the TSE and Jolemite crew while drumming it up on the gearshift to Fire. Mr. Huckleberry indeed.
