The Sunshine Empire Top Ten Albums: #7 The Chronic

I’m all about the 904 and the Duval hip-hop scene, but I have to include in my top ten countdown the seminal Dr. Dre classic The Chronic. Dre and Snoop Dogg working together is just what corporate mavens call synergy. Fuck Wit Dre Day, and Nuthin’ but a “G” thang, are lasting classics. Growing up on the mean streets of Mandarin, these songs touched a special part of my existence. allmusic.com correctly points out the great mid ’70′s beats that make these tracks so awesome. Nuthin’ but a “G” thang is also noteworthy for it’s mention of the bad, bad Dolemite.

Blowing your mind, Biggus Rickus gives you, Selection #7

Jolemite takes it all with his #7 selection.
