Gaining strength, but on the run, but not strong, but stronger by the day.
The President just seems like a confused old man with a camera up his ass these days. He would like most Americans to believe that al-Qaeda is on the run and being defeated, but around every corner and able to bomb the living shit out of you at a moments notice. Many who disagreed with his foolish endeavor in Iraq argued that moving the military might of the United States away from the fight against Qaeda in Afghanistan would allow them time to regroup and gain strength. Mr. Bush has incessantly told the American people that this was not the case and the worldwide terrorist network that launched the horror of September 11th was defeated. Bush even when so far as to say he did not think about Osama bin Laden, the man he once claimed he wanted “dead or alive.”
Yet after four years we find ourselves refereeing a religious civil war, and the Bush Administration released a report stating that Al-Qaeda is back to it’s pre-9/11 strength. This came as news to the Decider. He and Tony Snow did everything to advise the White House press corp that they disagreed highly with a report released from their administration. This from an administration that treats the press like the Ministry of Information, and in true fashion their answer was Doublespeak. Yet twisting and turning yet again, they reported today that the very Al-Qaeda that they said was defeated, and stronger and not, was gaining strength in Pakistan. I’ve not had any idea what they were saying for the last five years, and now even they do not. God Bless America.
